Overcoming a COVID-19 Layoff
Fresh out of Cabell County Career and Technical Center with a certification in CNC Machines, an associate came to United Talent looking for a CNC position…about two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. We were able to secure a position for him but it was short-lived; the position was eliminated in the first surge of the pandemic.
We didn’t give up! A few months later, we sent this associate on an interview for a laborer role. The client decided not only to hire him but to put him in a well-paid CNC machinist role and hired him on full-time.
This associate let us know, “I love the new position. My coworkers and supervisors make work a joy to come to.”
